Q: Why is the Occupy movement involved in this?

A:  MSG McDevitt asked for our help on the basis that he could not find people to help him in the Corporate or Government worlds.

Q: Doesn't the V.A. / Government have programs and laws to protect deployed troops?

A: Yes and no-- Although there are programs in place to help protect the jobs, and even homes of deployed troops, the fairly large number of them that are victims of identity theft have no protection and cannot dispute charges within 30 days while they are deployed. In fact many of them may not have any idea of what is happening while they are "in country" (deployed in civilian terms).

Q: Shouldn't John just file a law suit?

A: The large cost as well as long time that a lawsuit takes make it impractical, even if he could get the money it would be years before there were real tangible results, a lawsuit is possible but is a last resort.
